After the Holidays..

Ey u all! I am back here with a problem which can concern everyone! We women take it really seriously, what is it?  Extra pounds.. Yes, I'm feeling kinda like a hippo after this holidays but I decided to take care of myself more. I workout everyday but this time I feel I need to do something extra. Maybe Im not the best cook but Im trying my best. :) Except my workout, I cook some nice vegeterian dishes lately, full of proteins and vitamins but not greasy!! I made today some leantil with a spinach, a peper, carrots, a zucchini, an onion and cocount milk.. Yummy. Maybe it's not a super regiment to lose the pounds but it can help our digestive system to detox and take a break after the holidays full of heavy food.

Reggae Festival Reviews: BIELAWA REGGAE FESTIVAL

Ey all! It has been long time.. Today I am going to share with u my experience from a very magical place.. It's Bielawa (situated in Southern Poland). The first thing I have to say is that people over there are lovely, very nice and am totaly in love with them (with a bus driver who said that I dont have to pay for a ticket and a really nice cook from the hotel who noticed my positive energy and told me that can cook for me whatever I want, even when something is not in menu..;)) But let's get back to the main topic about the festival. Well, it was in the last part of August, 3 days of fantastic vibes. Unfortunately, I went there only for the weekend, but it was such a great experience. It was my first time there but I felt like in my hometown. I like small towns, full of beautiful souls around, it always makes me feel like in another space, without all these bad energy around. The fest organized kinda well, I didn't eat anything at the gastronomic zone because we cooked at our hotel but all the shows were recommendable, too many great artists to describe them. But what I really enjoyed were the show of JAH9 (a really fantastic woman, with beautiful pitch of voice and real jamaican energy.. Moreover, she's- I think- the most famous female reggae artist now, and it was a big blessing to feel her vibe in Poland) and JUNIOR KELLY (a big big jamaican artists with raggamuffin power). All these 2 artists were backed by my family, Dubtonic Kru band. :) The only one negative thing during Bielawa Reggae fest was the weather (it was really really cold in the night and I was drinking teas the whole time). But next year, the fest will be organized in June so to all who have never been there, I invite you there, you will be satisfaited with high level of "di shows dem" ;) Irie ites outta JA! And as always after my reviews, few pics from there:

Reggae Festival Reviews: OSTRÓDA REGGAE FESTIVAL

Ey! Today am gonna continue my reggae reviews reffering to Ostróda Reggae Festival, 14th edition. This year, it was my 4th Ostróda. It is believed that this fest is the best one in Poland.. But my opinion is a little different because I think it turned in more comercial way which I am not really into.
I went there only for one day (because my budget was getting smaller and smaller) but I decided to go there because of my boyfriend who said that I couldn't miss it esspecially when my favourite band played there. I was so happy to go there, in real but the first thing which greeted me there was.. a thunder storm (but it's normal for that fest anyway :)). At the festival zone, I had a really big problem to find something to eat because there were many fast-foods but where is food for the vegetarians and vegans, which is kinda healthy? There was the only one place where I decided to eat and it was Ethopian cuisine (a really delicious one, with fresh food). After, when it stopped raining, I went thought the stalls with souvenirs, Rasta clothes, jeverly ect. I really love it! Next, I wanted to jam a little, feel the vibes. The fist show I went was Meta and The Cornerstones and as I didn't have any expetitions before, during the show I really fell in love with their vibes, multicultural atmosphere and beautiful message "Peace, love and harmony"- that's all we need people! Afterwards, the show gave Chronixx (a big big star outta JA), he's really popular one, I sang the songs with him but it wasn't the show which I imagined. It was good, but looked like he is just working. And after.. The show I waited for, Rootz Underground. Oh man, how excited I was to see them after 2 yrs. They didn't give their best, I was on their 3 shows and this one was the worst for me, but it was kinda powerful, I had fun. I don't want to show this festival in negative way because it's a special place for me, and I'm not gonna stop going there, but I think that there is some true in it. Well, as always, few pictures and video:

Reggae Festival Reviews: REGGAE NA PIASKACH

Ey everyone! Hope all is well.. I'm gonna share with u my own review of reggae fests which took part last summer in Poland, I attended there so I think my opinion is not imaginary. So let's start with the first one... It is.. REGGAE NA PIASKACH (eng. Reggae on the beach).
The festival takes place every year since 14 yrs in Ostrów Wielkopolski, for me, it's really beautiful place surrounded by a lake, a forest. I did really fall in love when I went there for a walk and saw this absolutely fantastic views. This fest is not the biggest or the most famous one in Poland, it's more kind of family festival with positive ambiance everywhere. The organization was pretty cool and organisators of Reggae na Piaskach are fantastic, friendly people (what could make you feeling a real jamaican vibe over there)! Irie ites, smiling face and fantastic weather.. What about some music?!
There were of course some polish musicans and two Jamaican bands:
DUBTONIC KRU AND (a young blood outta Jamaica) IBA MAHR. Of course it was the point of the program and of course shows were played on the highest level of the music (as always ;))! Sunday was concentrated on reggae contest where some new reggae bands competed to win.
Well, what can I say more.. The best way is to see this on the video below and there are some my pics from a fantastic weekend in Ostrów Wielkopolski.

33 years "without" Bob Marley

Today is very special day- on the one hand Mother's day (Wish all the best to all mothers) and on the other hand 33rd anniversairy of Bob Malrey's death. He was fighting with cancer and he lost the battle. But he is still here in our hearts, on our minds. Even if he's dead, he is alive. His albums and songs are still most played reggae songs in the world. If we ask people if they know who Bob Marley is, most of them can describe him self or just sing a song. Robert Nestea Marley achived one big thing: he spead reggae music to all people, no matter what is their color of skin, no matter what is their religion, no matter where they live. He opened people's minds on Rastafari movement and shared his view with the others. His life style "ital is vital" is about Rasta diet which consist of only natural products, without any meat. He said many wise words which are big quotations. During one interview, he was asked: "Possessions make you rich?" And his answer was: "I don't have that kind of richness. My richness is life, forever." I really look up to him!!!  I could write and talk about he non stop, but I just wanted to share with u this special date. He's my inspiration and hope for better tommorow.
“Me only have one ambition, y'know. I only have one thing I really like to see happen. I like to see mankind live together - black, white, Chinese, everyone - that's all.”

Earth Hour!

Ey people! Do you really believe that Earth Hour can help our planet? Well.. If you do, turn the lights off from 8.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. local time. But I would like to encourage all of you that it's not only about one hour in a year.. We have to take care of Mama Earth each day! It's spring and I often go for walks but I can't believe what I see.. A lot of rubish around me. So maybe firstly think if you don't litter our world, if you respect nature around you? All of us should think about the future, how it will look like after few years. The goverment won't help us, we have to think about our enviroment cos they never do. All they do is making money.. So, let's think it through and remember, EARTH DAY IS EVERY DAY!:)

ORF 2014

I want to share with you something very special for me. It's my favourite polish festival, Ostróda Reggae Festival! This year its my 4th orf.. Oh.. The time is going really fast!
Something about it! ORF has place in small city named Ostróda (yes, that's why the festival is called like dat). It is in Masuria, Eastern Poland, where is a lot of lakes and forest. I'm in love with that! This year, Orf will start after 150 days, from 14th to 17th August. There are three stages: yellow, green and red (the main stage). This edition will be very special, there will play really awsome reggae bands, dancehall vocalist and of course some sound systems. Do you know Dub Inc, Rootz Underground, Chronixx, Pura Vida or The Congos? It's just few bands from this year's line-up. If you want to get out of the stress, feel positive vibes around you, meet new people from another countries, it is the festival for you! Ostróda is like my second home, I always come back there because I can't imagine my holidays without it.  Some pictures from ORF, bless up, Paula

Why Zion Awake?

"Zion Awake" as everyone can see is a title of the song played by a lead vocalist from one of my favourite bands - Rootz underground. They inspire me and my life every single day. They give us hope for a better tommorow and want people to rise up. It is very spiritual way because Zion is the way which everybody should be going. It's the light in dark and bad days. "Zion awake, because it's time we come together"! That's what people should do- UNITE.
